Elon Musk’s Grok AI is now open to all users

Elon Musk’s Grok AI chatbot is free to use for every user. It is no longer tied behind a paywall. Grok was the first chatbot launched by Musk’s xAI in 2023. This chatbot was closely integrated with X formerly Twitter and users had to purchase an X premium subscription to get access to the chatbot. Unlike the other peers like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude this chatbot is available for the users who already get the Subscription plans.

xAI is yet to be issued a formal statement confirming the availability of Grok for all users. Many of the users shared their experiences of gaining access to the Grok without purchasing an Xpremium subscription plan. We all confirm that Grok AI indeed rolled out to X feed.

Differences between Grok vs ChatGPT vs Gemini:

According to the X posts the free version of the Grok AI is hugely restricted and allows the users to send a maximum of 10 messages every two hours and analyze up to three images per day.

According to the latest recent report, Grok AI may also get standalone applications like Gemini and Chat GPT both of which are available on iOS and Android for the months. Grok can already analyze the images and Tesla CEO Musk hinted that chatbots may soon gain the ability to process documents in the formats like PDF and Word.

Musk’s xAI recently concluded a $6 billion funding round. They also raised the startup’s valuation to over $40 billion. According to the report of Bloomberg, a portion of the funds are allocated to expand the xAI’s supercomputer facility in Memphis, Tennessee. This facility supports the supercomputer called Collosus. This is a crucial component of Musk’s AI ambitions aiming to grow the competition with Open AI.

Musk added Microsft to his lawsuit against OpenAI and its CEO Sam Altman. They accuse them of attempting to monopolize the AI market illegally.
