A stand-alone iOS app for xAI’s Grok chatbot is currently being tested
A stand-alone iOS app for Grok, Elon Musk’s AI business xAI’s chatbot that was formerly exclusive to X users, is currently being tested.
Currently, the app is available in Australia, and a few other beta nations can access real-time data from X and the web. It has generative AI capabilities such as text rewriting, lengthy paragraph summarization, and some Q&A. Additionally, it creates graphics from word prompts.
According to the listing reads
“Grok is an AI-powered assistant designed to be maximally truthful, useful, and curious. Get answers to any question, generate striking images, and upload pictures to gain a deeper understanding of your world,”.
In order to make the chatbot available online, xAI is also getting ready to launch Grok.com, a dedicated website. Right now, when you sign in with an xAI account, the website reads “coming soon.”
Until recently, Grok was exclusively accessible to X’s paying subscribers. The company began testing a free version of the chatbot in November, and earlier this month, it made it available to all users.
The company claims that its chatbot’s image generator model is excellent at “photorealistic rendering” and doesn’t impose any significant limitations on its ability to generate images, enabling users to use photographs of well-known people and copyrighted content.
