Microsoft Allows The Users To Customize The Copilot Key On Windows 11 Beta
Microsoft is functioning to allow the users personalise the Copilot key on Windows 11. The Copilot key has now begun to appear on the new laptops and keyboards.
The Copilot key is set as the default and opens Microsoft’s Copilot application on Windows 11.
The company is currently testing the option and allowing it to launch the different applications.
Now beta version of Windows 11 features different customization updates and available tests.
According to the Windows Insider blog announcements..
“We are adding the ability to configure the Copilot key. You can choose to have the Copilot key launch an app that is MSIX packaged and signed, thus indicating the app meets security and privacy requirements to keep customers safe. The key will continue to launch Copilot on devices that have the Copilot app installed until a customer selects a different experience.”
Every user can find the settings and navigate to settings then “Personalisation and then Text input. Just users have to link the keyboard and PC that have a Copilot Key.
This change is to promote its AI assistant among Windows users and represents a major alteration to the keyboards within 30 years. Earlier in 2024 new Copilot Plus PCs started to ship with the key.
Hence Microsoft made the Copilot experience less useful on the devices converting it into a web application in the latest 24H2 Windows 11 updates.
The web application versions are no longer included in the Windows 11 settings. That’s why users cannot use the AI assistants to control the settings.
The availability of the personalizations for the copilot key to beta testers of Windows 11 suggests the availability of the Windows 11 users.
